Anonymous whispered, "as a fan of boys like girls for so long i feel a bit upset and irritated. this is just my own opinion, anyone could dislike or like but i wanted to get things off of my chest and i know the boys read these tumblrs so here goes: fans are entitled to know whats going on with the bands situations no matter how bad or good it is. they cant expect us to just keep waiting and waiting and then soon theyll announce something big and expect us to support them 100%. this happened in the year of making love drunk. they've toured, shot read between the lines and then years go by without nothing special and martin all of the sudden keeps promoting their new album called love drunk. of course as fans we support and support because we love them, but i feel like theyre taking their fans for granted. for example, bryan, john and paul. theyre using "boys like girls" to promote their own self-projects such as rebels, early morning blues or black carbon custom. i myself support their own personal things, but to use 'BLG' to get fame is pretty irritating. john tried to make a trending topic because BLG was a trend once and now he wanted to trend his new band? so uncool. paul kept promoting his clothing line (which i support fully cus its cool and all) but never respond to any questions related to BLG. i dont think any of them respond but john. what the heck? as a band, if there are rumors, at least try to clear it up and not making us fans worry. it's getting lame, and i'm trying real hard to stay positive but it doesn't even feel like they're trying enough to stay connected with their fans. Martin always said fans are the most important things? but what the hell are fans for if theyre not open to us about anything? it's getting unprofessional and not even fun anymore. BLG wasnt like this before. they were brothers, tight, real open to their fans
whatever happened to boys like girls still remains a mystery. they still try to be as elusive as they can, but i really hope they could give some explanations soon enough because i dont know how long before all the fans start getting tired of putting up with their shits.
sorry i just think it's time the boys read this kind of respond from fans as a wake up call. i just wish they would stop taking us for granted. we've been there since the beginning, supporting them, the least they could do is to be more considerate to fans who really care about them and worry about them."
I updated Tumblr from my mobile and couldn’t reply to this question properly. My mobile is a bitch. I have to say I know it’s irritating and some of the things you say are true, anon. But I don’t think the boys are ‘using BLG to get fame’. Like John said, they ARE Boys Like Girls. All this shit sucks but I still think we should be patient. Don’t give up, guys!
